How to Meet Your English Proficiency Condition
You are required to submit evidence of your English proficiency to the Recruitment and Admissions office by the date listed on your offer letter. You should review your offer letter carefully to ensure you understand all conditions listed.

Note for Applicants Affected by Testing Centre Closures
³Ô¹ÏÍø’s undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions office is committed to assisting applicants whose ability to take an English language test has been impacted by the closures of English language testing centres due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). If applicants have any concerns about meeting deadlines pertaining to their application, they should contact chooselaurier@wlu.ca.
Options for Meeting Your English Proficiency Condition
1. Submit a Minimum English Language Test Score
Submit a minimum score on an accepted English language test to ³Ô¹ÏÍø's Recruitment and Admissions office.
2. Show That You Studied in an English-Language School System for at Least Three Years
Submit supporting evidence that you studied in an English-language school system for at least three years. The Admissions office will review your documents and evaluate if they satisfy your English proficiency condition. We may request additional supporting documents at our discretion, including English-language tests.
- Submit a copy of your transcript indicating that you have been studying in an English-language school system for at least three years. This may also be a Credit Counselling Summary report from your high school. Arrange to have your document sent to us directly from the issuing institute in a sealed and stamped envelope or by submitting a scanned copy to documentsubmission@wlu.ca. These documents must be fully translated into English.
- Ask your guidance counsellor or a member of your school’s staff to send an email to chooselaurier@wlu.ca from their work email address. In this email, they should confirm the number of years you have studied in an English-language curriculum and should include your name and ³Ô¹ÏÍø ID number.
