‘Spring’ into action and save a life by giving blood

Spring brings a renewed sense of energy, which makes it the perfect time to book an appointment to give blood.
³Ô¹ÏÍø invites faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university to give blood as part of . Team members can give at any Canadian Blood Services’ clinic or mobile location in Canada and have their donation count toward the university’s pledge. ³Ô¹ÏÍø has pledged 475 units of blood for 2023.
New this spring, Canadian Blood Services will provide pizza for groups of three or more who donate on Thursdays at its Waterloo clinic location. Free transportation to and from the clinic is also available. Contact Gina Leyva, community development manager at Canadian Blood Services, at gina.leyva@blood.ca to arrange a group donation and transportation.
Waterloo hours and locations
Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic is located at 94 Bridgeport Rd. E. Appointments must be booked in advance online at .
- Monday to Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m.
- New: Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
- Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Upcoming clinics in Brantford
Canadian Blood Services will hold a mobile clinic in at the Branlyn Community Centre, 238 Brantwood Park Rd. Transportation from ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Brantford campus to the clinic will be provided at no charge. Not everyone can give blood. There are other ways to support ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s partnership with Canadian Blood Services:
