Make giving blood part of your spring to-do list

Spring is the perfect time of year to tackle things on your to-do list, like spring cleaning and gardening. It is also the perfect time of year to make a life-saving blood donation.

Members of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø community are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and donate blood through ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s partnership with Canadian Blood Services. Each year, ³Ô¹ÏÍø makes a pledge of blood donations as part of the program. ³Ô¹ÏÍø has pledged 450 units of blood for 2022 — the largest pledge among Canadian Blood Services’ partner organizations in Waterloo Region. To date, ³Ô¹ÏÍø blood donors have contributed 157 units of blood in 2022.

Help ³Ô¹ÏÍø meet its pledge by making a blood donation using the university’s pledge ID, WILF001529, or completing the Partners for Life registration form. Join the hundreds of ³Ô¹ÏÍø community members who give blood across Canada and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need of blood.

³Ô¹ÏÍø community members can to donate at Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic, located at 94 Bridgeport Rd. E. The clinic’s operating hours are:

  • Monday to Thursday: 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Kitchener: May 16 at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 248 Westmount Rd. E.
  • Brantford: May 31 at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64 Buchanan Cres.
  • Elmira: May 27 at Lions Hall, 40 South St. W.
  • Paris: June 6 at the Paris Fairgrounds, 139 Silver St.
