MILTON — ³Ô¹ÏÍø alumni and the public will be offered an initial look at ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s newly renovated Milton Academic Centre during the Milton Community’s Campus Preview event June 18. 

The open house will provide ³Ô¹ÏÍø alumni and members of the Milton community the opportunity to speak with staff about ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Milton campus experience and programs, connect with fellow alumni, meet the volunteer members of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumni Association, and explore the Milton Academic Centre. 

“We are looking forward to showcasing the Milton Academic Centre,” said vice-president of advancement and external relations, Jason Coolman, who will be in attendance. “Our Milton campus will give local and commuter students the chance to experience ³Ô¹ÏÍø's high-quality academic programs and student life close to home, while becoming part of ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s unique multi-campus culture.” 

³Ô¹ÏÍø will offer two of its most popular and established programs, Computer Science and Psychology, as inaugural Milton campus programs when the campus opens its doors in fall 2024. Both undergraduate degree programs will be taught with an innovative, problem-based approach, and extensive hands-on learning opportunities. 

“³Ô¹ÏÍø Milton’s programs are designed to provide students with a comprehensive education, whether they are learning about the biological and behavioural sciences or mastering computing languages and algorithms,” said Richelle Monaghan, vice dean of the Faculty of Science. “Our programs give students the quality education and career readiness they want and need.” 

Beginning as an engaging education hub in the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Milton Academic Centre, ³Ô¹ÏÍø Milton will develop over the years into a robust, purpose-built campus in the Milton Education Village. Campus spaces will come to life over time, grounded by Indigenous principles of land stewardship and enriched by sustainable buildings. 

The ³Ô¹ÏÍø Milton Community’s Campus Preview takes place Tuesday, June 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Milton Academic Centre,  in Milton.
