My research is driven by the need to establish safe and appropriate limits for metals and nutrients in aquatic systems.  There are three main areas of research (1) nutrient removal/recovery (2) metal speciation/toxicity (3) analytical methods for in-situ analysis (monitoring).  This research is supported by many government and industrial partners.

Projects tend to involve metal speciation analysis, dissolved organic matter quality, nutrient removal and recovery and will include aspects of field work, laboratory research and mathematical modelling.
