Sajjad is a passionate advocate for user experience, inclusive design and accessibility, leveraging over 22 years of industry experience to empower users and students. As a UX designer, researcher, and accessibility specialist, Sajjad has driven impactful projects in roles such as Senior Web Designer at the University of Massachusetts Boston and Excelsior University New York, and as a UX Design Lead at Capit Media Montreal, Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) Alberta, and CAAT Pension Plan in Toronto.
In the classroom, Sajjad’s commitment to student success shines through his empathetic teaching style and focus on hands-on, project-based learning. With over 10 years of teaching experience at leading Canadian institutions, he has guided students through courses in UX Design, Interaction Design, UX Strategy, Information Architecture, Usability Studies, Accessibility, Design Thinking, and Web Design. Sajjad has been teaching at prestigious institutions such as Emily Carr University of Art + Design, ³Ô¹ÏÍø, University of Guelph-Humber, Sheridan College, Yorkville University, George Brown College, and Centennial College.
Sajjad’s "learning by doing" strategies encourage students to tackle real-world challenges, fostering a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility best practices. Holding Master’s degrees in both Computer Science and Economics, along with certifications in Project Management, UX Design, Accessibility and Graphic Design, Sajjad combines academic rigor with practical insights.
